Condensation and damp can be one of the most unpleasant problems in your home. In addition to the naturally occuring moisture in the air, a family can add up to 12 litres (20 pints) of extra moisture during the course of a normal day. With many homes now draught proofed to lower heating bills, this moisture caused by cooking, bathing,, washing, drying laundry and even breathing is trapped inside. When the air in your home is warm, this moisture will be held as vapour, but as soon as it hits a cold surface the moisture will condense and turn to water.
The effects of Condensation and Damp are well known: * Streaming wet windows with black mould growing around the frames. * Damp peeling wallpaper * Wardrobes, cupboards and drawers with mildew growing in them. The answer to your condensation problem is a Delonghi Dehumidifier How it works Moisture laden air passes through a filter (stopping impurities) and then over refrigerated coils - the evaporator. As damp air hits the cold surface, humidity condenses as demineralised water and drips into the collection container. The dehumidified air then passes over the condenser coils where it is heated before returning to the room approximately 1°C warmer. |
